Who We Are

MBL Aquaculture is a division of Marinco Bioassay Laboratory, Inc. In 1988, MBL started by providing Americamysis for aquatic toxicity tests and eventually grew into one of the largest WET testing laboratories in the Southeast. With that growth and ever increasing demand for reliable aquatic indicators, this division became an essential component of MBL's successful testing paradigm.

The aquaculture facility is certified by the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, Aquaculture Certificate #AQ0668007.

Jason Weeks
Laboratory Director

Jason is the Laboratory Director of Marinco Bioassay Laboratory, Inc. Before founding MBL in 1988, he worked at the renowned Mote Marine Laboratory as the supervisor of the invertebrate aquaculture laboratory and aquatic toxicity testing program. Jason is a member of the Society of Environmental Toxicology And Chemistry and the Water Environment Federation.
